Misti Z. Barnett

Misti Z. Barnett, an associate with the firm, focuses her work in the areas of appellate practice and litigation support in various areas of the law.

She received a bachelor’s degree in political science and English literature and graduated cum laude from the State University of New York at Albany in 1985, and received a law degree from Brooklyn Law School, in Brooklyn, NY, in 1988.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Barnett worked from 1994 to 2006 as a Career Staff Attorney to the Honorable Judge George A. Shahood at the Fourth District Court of Appeal and from 1990 to 1992 as a trial court law clerk for judges Shahood, Robert Lance Andrews, Robert J. Fogan and James M. Reasbeck in the 17th Judicial Circuit Court in Broward County, FL.

Ms. Barnett is admitted to The Florida Bar (1990) and is a member of the Appellate Practice Section of The Florida Bar. She also is a member of the New York and Connecticut Bar Associations and is admitted to practice in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
